Drifts,Thank you for the input and I am going to give this a try; I hit a wall last night and it took 32 attempts of the 3 suggested animals in random order with various successes and failures to gain 0.1… I might have cried a little lol.
Are you the person taming bulls and naming them “D”?
I am going to try your method and I will report my progress again. Thanks again and happy taming!
I am the one who names animals D when I tame them lol. I forgot to add that I do keep my lore under my taming as well. I have tamed before with gm lore first and it seems to me it is a big difference and takes a lot longer to gain.

I also have been working on a tamer. I just have gotten my taming up to 88.5. I have a tamer all whilst playing UO and this is the 3rd tamer I’m going for. I have noticed if you stick with the suggested animals on https://www.uoguide.com/Animal_Taming (‘https://www.uoguide.com/Animal_Taming’) the gains come pretty good. For what I do I tame a good 8 of the suggested animals and then I take a few lower-skilled animals which seems to reset the gains. By doing this method I can gain a good .5 skills in about half an hour.
