Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day!

Pax Dei

I cannot find the TGDB link for it, but this is the game I am most looking forward to (more so even than Ashes of Creation. Early access is scheduled to release sometime in 2024. I am ready to lose myself in this world.

"Welcome to a vast, social sandbox MMO inspired by the legends of the medieval era. Here, myths are real, ghosts exist, and magic is unquestioned. In this immense, open-world playground, you choose the role you want to play. Immerse yourself along with thousands of other players as you explore the land, build your home, forge your reputation, and craft your own stories."

Went to add that to my wish and watch list and its already there! This looks very promising although I wonder how it will work as an mmo. The modern take is to have a house in an instanced area, which CAN be fine like in Conan unchained the DiJ guild area is HUGE with monsters and explorable areas. I much prefer a world where we all build, and deal with each other make friends or enemies in one world, not instanced. Or perhaps it will be rented servers.....or dedicated server software will be released for it. Who knows! Im hopeful for this game though it embodies ALOT of what I enjoy in a game and the graphics look to be ab9out as if not as good as the intro movie. Thats hard to find even these days. Keep us posted on this pls!

I have been following this game since the release of the initial trailer. It is indeed a blend of MMORPG and survival based games, with thousands of players on one server. It is an open world without instanced content. It has non-instanced housing using survival game-style mechanics. Players will begin in a PvP free zone, protected by their deities from attacking one another. Here they can build, hunt, craft, harvest, etc. They can likewise venture from there into the open wilds, where PvP is allowed, and the risks and rewardds are greater. It has action based combat, and magic system, but it is a bit slower and rather toned down compared to many of the newer action titles (which is fantastic news for me). There are no vendor NPCs.

This is the game I have been waiting for. I recently played the similar Myth of Empires recently, and absolutely loved it. I found the medieval China setting to be refreshing. The only thing is that it is a bit clunky, and not truly an MMORPG. I do overall prefer a Western-style fantasy setting.

The devs are are passionate, communicative and have a clear plan for the direction of the game. My hope is that they create a living, breathing world, and the various systems to make it work, and allow the players to take it from there. I am a big fan of immersion and immergent gameplay, and never want to see the "man behind the curtain."

Invite only Alpha Two begins April 23. I did not make the grade, but it is scheduled to go into open access some time in Spring 2024. I will most defintiely be there.

I enjoy the ability to sell with an npc vendor when your offline etc, BUT for the TRUE townies, being there with your goods and plying your wares is a fun thing to do in itself. Like the OLD ultima online where there were crafters hanging out at the shops selling repairs and wares. Breathes a whole new meaning into quality of life content I think. I will keep my eyes on this as well! Ty for reminding me it exists!
