So, what kind of music are people into? I find myself when I play games doing some grinding that I like to put on some of my own music other than the game music. Like for instance when I was a hardcore miner or taming in UO I would play music making it much less boring. I myself am into alternative and metal music mostly. I been a huge Slipknot fan since they came out.

Very cool, I grew up to Disturbed as well and liked a bit of their songs. I know a lot of people who watch shows and movies while gaming, to me it never ends well and I end up getting pk'd haha.

Nothing wrong with some 70's and 80's rock to me! My friends and I listen to it a lot to relax.

To be honest, I tend to listen to the game music...even after so many years invested in creating PoV. I love the music of Ultima, and also the music of my current main MMO LOTRO (though I have not played in some time). It really immerses me in the world.

As for music outside of games, I have a pretty wide palate. I travel exstensively, so much of what I currently listen to is a crazy mix of things I have caught snatches of in a hostel or cafe and googled, had recommended to me by fellow travelers, or discovered via NPR. Growing up it was mostly the 60's and 70's stuff (mostly rock and some country) in my parent's album collection. I enjoy rock, some country, jazz (esp. bebop), big band, RnB, indie, blue grass, international, classical, opera (though I am no expert) and more. I also enjoy 80's music (as it was my developmental years era). Coming of age in the 90's made me a lover of grunge (my fiirst actual concert was Pearl Jam in 1993, I think, just after I graduated high school in 1992). I listen to a lot of newer folk music now.

Favorite artist: Leonard Cohen.
Favorite song: Visions of Johanna by Bob Dylan
I also love Sarah Vaughan and Doris Day, sublime.

If I am that hard put to get something going on UO, music helps!!! 70's 80's music some have the beat to keep ya going and not so boring.

I do listen to game music but it tends to get old when hear same thing over and over.

there are other campaigns, other DM's I can share. Even one with Will Wheaten, the King of rolling 1's (auto fail).
