Depending on how old you are you may just remember that above modem image, the days of waiting twenty minutes for a picture to download or the annoyance of getting a busy signal when trying to log into your favorite service.

The 'original' online services (BBS) before AOL, the internet, Facebook, etc., were amazing vibrant communities - each offering it's own niche population, services, and games. So many talented individuals helped to create a connected network of countless systems and users offering up every type of service or topic imaginable. This was really the golden age of being online.

While our number one focus is providing engaging, refreshed, Ultima Online experiences (with more surprises in the future) - I am still excited and happy that I've been able to revive the old Bulletin Board System (with the help of some wonderful people) and provide that original experience to our gamers here.

Here's some information to help you along the way:

* While you're able to chat within the BBS in teleconference and many of the games, this forum will cover each gaming genre/service on the BBS for you to reach out to others for any assistance you may need or questions you may have.

* When in the games menu you will find these identifiers:

(SP-Tournament) - Single-player game where your scores will be judged against others, in a timed game period, with the highest score receiving a prize.​

(SP) - Single-player game​

(MP) - Multi-player game​

We will be expanding the telnet client beyond the embedded version, a little later on, to provide better options for those interested in the games available. This BBS revival project is still being worked on.. so this is NOT the finished product - many more games are on the way!

This is totally awesome, and I can't believe I'm actually reading this. I used to access Piranha Brother's BBS back in the day. You can imagine my enthusiasm when I learned about this. Kudos to your team!

I'll be posting telnet terminals both PC based, and iOS/Android and tablet based that people can download to use rather than just our community based access sometime tomorrow.
