• After completing the Race and Class sections, you will come to an Abilities section. There, they ask what method you would like to apply Ability Scores. • The next section is the most important: the Back Story!!!! This is where you breathe life into your character and give it a soul, a reason to live, a reason to adventure!
  
  
• The last section is Equipment. We will be utilizing your Class Starting Equipment. In the future, you will usually have a chance to have a little e wealth instead and go shopping but due to the fact that we have a few beginners, we will first learn what your character needs to be successful!

• The most important part now is to send your completed Character Sheet to the forum in UORealms marked “Character Vault” so that your Dungeon Master can review it and add you to our party!

Hey guys! With our up and coming D&D campaign, I wanted to take some time to start a little fun with this Fantasy Character Creation Game!​

How to Play:​

1. Start with a Basic Character Template: The game begins with a basic character template, which can be modified and expanded as the game progresses. Here’s an example of a simple template to start with:
   Template:
   • Name:
   • Race: (Elf, Human, Orc, Goblin, etc.)
   • Class: (Mage, Warrior, Ranger, Rogue, etc.)
   • Weapon of Choice:
   • Special Skill:
   • Background/Story: (Optional)
2. The First Player Creates a Character: The first player fills out the template to create a character. They also add a quirky or interesting personality trait or backstory to make the character more unique.
   Example:
   • Name: Thaldor Stonefist
   • Race: Dwarf
   • Class: Warrior
   • Weapon of Choice: Dual-wielding war hammers
   • Special Skill: Immense strength; can break stone with bare hands.
   • Background/Story: Thaldor was exiled from his mountain clan for accidentally smashing their sacred gemstone while showing off his strength. He now seeks redemption by undertaking dangerous quests.
3. Next Player Adds a Twist or Trait: The next player modifies or adds a quirky trait or twist to the previous character before creating their own. For example, they can change the personality or add a fun fact about the character.
   Example Twist: "Thaldor has a paralyzing fear of spiders, despite his fearless demeanor in battle."
4. The Next Player Creates Their Own Character: After modifying the previous character, the player then uses the template to create a brand-new character of their own, adding a unique quirk or backstory for the next player to work with.
   New Character Example:
   • Name: Seraphina Nightsworn
   • Race: Half-Elf
   • Class: Rogue
   • Weapon of Choice: A pair of enchanted daggers that glow blue in the moonlight.
   • Special Skill: Uncanny ability to disappear into shadows, making her nearly invisible in dark areas.
   • Background/Story: Seraphina grew up in the criminal underworld of a bustling city, perfecting the art of theft. She carries the guilt of betraying her closest friend during a heist gone wrong.
5. Repeat the Process:The game continues as each player modifies the character from the previous post, adding traits, quirks, or background details before creating a new character using the template.

Additional Rules & Variations:​

• Random Traits Rule: Every player must add a random quirk, flaw, or trait (like “loves cheese,” “always tells the truth,” or “secretly in love with dragons”) to the previous character. This keeps things unpredictable and fun.
• Thematic Rounds: Themes for certain rounds will be looked into in the future, like "characters from the underworld," "noble heroes," or "cursed individuals." This can tie into the lore of our D&D campaigns.
• Character Showcase: We could periodically showcase the best or funniest characters in a special forum post, and even consider featuring them in the D&D campaign as NPCs or cameos.

Example Playthrough:​

• Player 1:
  • Name: Arvin Stormsinger
  • Race: Human
  • Class: Bard
  • Weapon of Choice: Lute enchanted to summon storms.
  • Special Skill: Can control the weather while playing music.
  • Background/Story: Arvin was once a court musician but was banished after accidentally causing a monsoon at the royal wedding. Now, he travels the world as a wandering minstrel.
• Player 2:
  • Twist: Arvin has a curse that causes him to break into song uncontrollably whenever someone says the word "gold."
  • New Character:
    • Name: Ylva Iceclaw
    • Race: Half-Orc
    • Class: Barbarian
    • Weapon of Choice: A massive battle axe made from dragonbone.
    • Special Skill: Rage-fueled strength increases the more injured she gets.
    • Background/Story: Ylva's clan was decimated by a rival tribe, and now she seeks vengeance. She has a deep distrust of magic users, blaming them for the downfall of her people.
• Player 3:
  • Twist: Ylva secretly collects magical trinkets and artifacts, despite her hatred of magic.
  • New Character:
    • Name: Lysandra Moonwhisper
    • Race: Elf
    • Class: Druid
    • Weapon of Choice: A staff made of living wood, capable of healing or harming plants.
    • Special Skill: Can communicate with animals and understand their language.
    • Background/Story: Lysandra is a guardian of the sacred forest, sworn to protect it from those who seek to harm the natural world.
