PoV Patch Notes
Grettings, everyone! Just wanted to post the notes on the latest patch, inlcuding the much maligned Hunger and Thirst system…:)
Player Vendors in Houses
Players can now place vendors in Public deeded Houses or Townhouses. The vendors may be placed inside the house, or upon the stairs at the entrance for Deeded Houses, and within one tile on either side of the door for Townhouses. The vendor will appear where the character is standing, and should be facing the same way. I will be working on adding the new areas to all of the townhouses, though I will likely mostly be consumed wuth study for the next few days.
Hunger and Thirst
Based on player feedback we have modified Hunger and Thirst Hunger now affects Stamina regeneration, and Thirst affects Mana regeneration. If a character falls below 5 Hunger and 5 Thirst it will begin to affect Hit Points. The effect of each will now have positive as well as negative connotations, depending on Hunger and Thirst levels.
Every 7 seconds:
Hunger (Stamina)
0-1 -2
3-5 -1
6-15 0
16-18 +1
19-20 +2
Thirst (Mana)
0-1 -2
3-5 -1
6-15 0
16-18 +1
19-20 +2
Hunger and Thirst (Hit Points, should never fall below 2)
0-1 -2
3-5 -1
6-15 0
16-18 +1
19-20 +2
Every 7 seconds:
< 5 Thirst (Message: “You are exhausted from thirst”) < 5 Hunger (Message: “You are starving”) < 5 Hunger and Thirst (Message: “You are parched and starving! You feel your life force ebbing away.”) Monster Contracts We have reinstated the Monster Contact system. There are now Bailiffs in each outpost in Britannia and Akalabeth (aka the Lost Lands). Upon speaking the words “bounty“ or “bounties” to a Bailiff, or single-clicking and selecting ‘Bounties’ from the Bailiff’s context menu, a character will receive a Monster Contract. Each Monster Contract will list a particular mob, as well as the amount to be slain of this mob required to complete the contract. In order to add a mob to the contract, the character must be the killer of the mob, and need only double click the Monster Contract, select ‘Claim Corpse’ on the gump that pops up, and target the mob corpse. Take care, as this will delete the corpse and any loot still remaining on it. Once the Monster Contract is completed the player can drop it onto a Bailiff in any outposts to claim the reward. The base reward is gold, though there are chances to claim additional rewards. The chance corresponds to the difficulty of the mob.
